Landing yourself in Portuguese Level B1 is going to provide you with a real sense of independence, control, and command over the Portuguese language that you likely haven’t felt quite yet.
After moving through the more fundamental and foundational aspects of Portuguese, the Level B1 module from Agile Training is going to push you further and further towards complete fluency – giving you the ability to hold conversations in Portuguese, understand the majority of everything that hear as well as everything that you read, and help you add further to your Portuguese vocabulary so that have a lot less trouble navigating Portuguese speaking parts of the world.
A major part of Level B1 is giving you the ability to write simple messages on more complex topics that you are familiar with – maybe your favorite sports, your favorite activities, or your favorite hobbies – in Portuguese, not necessarily conveying the complexities of these topics but getting your point across in a more general sense.
You’ll also have a much easier time describing your opinions and your feelings on specific topics by the time you have finished the Portuguese Level B1 module. You’ll be able to connect different phrases and ideas, will be able to play with different grammar elements, and shouldn’t have any trouble whatsoever getting your point across to a Portuguese native speaker – even if your delivery is a little bit rough around the edges or clunky at first.
Those that travel to Portuguese speaking parts of the world are going to benefit most from the Level B1 module. You’ll be able to navigate most common travel conversations, should be able to express yourself fully even if not in a completely accurate way, and will be able to get your point across even if it requires a little bit of wrangling on the behalf of you and the Portuguese native speaker you are conversing with.
A huge part of the Portuguese Level B1 module from Agile Training is helping you to better learn the Portuguese language through listening to daily conversations and interpreting everything you learn at a conversational pace.
It’s one thing to learn the Portuguese language from textbased solutions and something else entirely to be forced to learn “on-the-fly” the more detailed and nuanced aspects of the Portuguese language at a conversational pace. This is the kind of language mastery that we all aspire to, however, and if you are going to achieve real fluency with Portuguese you’ll have to know how to pick up vocabulary elements on-the-fly at a conversational pace.
That’s exactly the kind of skill that the Portuguese Level B1 module brings to the table!
By the time that you have concluded this module, you’ll feel a lot more comfortable navigating conversations in Portuguese, reading commonplace advertisements or watching television and movies in Portuguese, and should have no real difficulty reading most of the written Portuguese language – especially when you have the opportunity to do so at your own pace. You’ll be able to reply to these written Portuguese messages in a simplified and straightforward kind of fashion, but you’ll still have plenty of Portuguese under your belt to get your point across.
You may not yet be able to hold long-term conversations with native speakers just yet, and you may not feel completely comfortable immersing yourself in a 100% Portuguese speaking part of the world. But you aren’t going to feel nervous about your Portuguese skills any longer, will not have to worry about freezing up when you interact in Portuguese, and will be well on your way to fluency – which is right around the corner!
This is one of the defining modules in the Portuguese language program from Agile Training, building off of all that you have learned previously.

Classes length depend on student’s availability. During the course the teacher uses different resources always based on practice (case studies, role play, videos, audios, games, etc.).
The teacher is always bilingual or native.
EVALUATION
The evaluation is continuous, all along the course the teacher is grading the students regarding the following parameters:
- Knowledge of the subjects
- Vocabulary use
- Phonetics/pronunciation
- Progression
- Participation/motivation
- Homework
- Reading comprehension
- Listening comprehension
- Writing
- Grammar
- Evaluation test
Every 20 hours, students have a written and oral test and they are evaluated regarding their knowledge and progression. At the same time, students evaluate the teacher performance.
In the end each student will receive an individual evaluation report and a certificate.
